Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install bervice on Windows, macOS, or Linux. All builds are signed, verified, and include the same security and functionality across platforms.

Before you begin, ensure your device meets the minimum requirements: 64-bit CPU, 4 GB RAM, and at least 300 MB of free disk space. For large encrypted datasets, additional space will be needed for local caching.

Windows. Download the installer from the official Windows release page. Double-click the `.exe` file, follow the prompts, and optionally enable auto-update during setup.

macOS. Download the `.dmg` package from macOS release page. Drag the app into your Applications folder. The build is universal and runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. You may need to approve the app in **System Settings → Privacy & Security** if macOS flags it as from an unidentified developer.

Linux. Choose the package format for your distribution from the Linux release page. We provide `.deb`, `.rpm`, and AppImage builds. Install using your package manager or run the AppImage directly.

After installation, launch bervice and complete the initial setup: creating your vault, generating encryption keys, and connecting a wallet for subscription payment.

Always verify the release signature before installing. Our PGP public key is available on the security verification page.
