1. Service Overview

bervice provides a zero-knowledge vault for passwords, files, and secure notes. Encryption happens locally on your device; decryption keys are not sent to . Subscriptions and referral rewards may be managed via smart contracts on public blockchains.

2. Eligibility & Account

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your region).
• You are responsible for your account credentials, devices, and recovery materials.
• We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Zero-Knowledge & Your Responsibilities

Because of our zero-knowledge design, we cannot access or recover your master password, keys, or content. You are solely responsible for securely backing up your recovery materials. Loss of these materials may result in permanent loss of access to your data.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & On-Chain Payments

• Paid features require an active subscription. Plan details and pricing are shown in-app.
• On-chain payments are generally irreversible. You are responsible for network fees and correct wallet use.
• If a transaction fails or is pending, access may be delayed until finality is reached on the relevant network.
• We may change prices or plans with reasonable advance notice. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle.
• Refunds: case-by-case where required by law or our policy; on-chain constraints may apply.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Violate laws or third-party rights; upload illegal content or malware.
• Attempt to bypass security, probe infrastructure, or interfere with Service operation.
• Use automated scraping or rate-limit evasion without written permission.
• Misrepresent identity, or engage in fraud, scams, or money laundering.

6. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service and associated content. You retain rights to your encrypted content. Using the Service does not transfer any ownership. Some components may include open-source software subject to their respective licenses.

7. Data Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what limited personal data we process (e.g., account identifiers, billing, telemetry if opted-in). Content and keys remain client-side encrypted. For business customers, a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) may apply.

8. Security & Verifications

We publish signed releases and guidance for verifying downloads. See Verifying Downloads. Report vulnerabilities to [email protected].

9. Third-Party Services & Networks

The Service may rely on decentralized storage networks, wallet providers, or blockchains. We do not control these third-party systems and are not responsible for their availability, security, or fees.

10. Beta Features

We may offer experimental features identified as “Beta.” These are provided “as is,” may change without notice, and may be subject to additional terms or limits.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, risk to users, or legal compliance. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your license ends, but sections intended to survive will continue to apply.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, bervice and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, even if advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $100.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless bervice from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law as stated in the jurisdictional notice on our Jurisdiction page. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration or courts specified there, except where prohibited by law. You waive class actions to the extent permitted by law.

16. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or on our website. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
