From the Dashboard

  1. Press N or click NewLogin
  2. Enter Title, URL, Username
  3. Click Generate to create a strong password
  4. Save → choose a Space and add tags

In the Browser

  • Install the extension, unlock desktop app
  • Sign up or log in → approve Save to bervice
  • Use inline generator to meet site rules

See Browser Extensions.

Import Existing Logins

  • File → Import (CSV/JSON or encrypted archive)
  • Map fields; review duplicates
  • Items are re-encrypted locally

Details: Import/Export Options.

Recommended Fields

  • Title: Human-readable name (e.g., “GitHub – Personal”)
  • URL(s): Add login domain and subdomains for better matching
  • Username/Email: Primary identifier
  • Password: Use generator; avoid reuse
  • TOTP: Scan QR or paste otpauth://
  • Notes: Recovery questions, support PINs
  • Attachments: Backup codes as a file or secure note
  • Tags & Space: Organize for team/personal use

Password Generator

  • Random: 16–24 chars, include digits & symbols
  • Passphrase: 4–6 words with separators for stricter sites
  • Customize per-site: limit symbols, length, avoid ambiguous chars

Saving & Autofill Tips

  • Add exact subdomain (e.g., https://app.example.com)
  • Disable other managers to prevent duplicates
  • Use Ctrl/ + Shift + K to open the extension

Add TOTP (2FA)

  1. Open the saved login → Add TOTP
  2. Scan site QR or paste secret
  3. Verify a code to finish binding

Enable automatic time sync on all devices.

Store Backup Codes Safely

  • Save as a separate secure note or attachment
  • Keep an offline copy (printed/USB)
  • Do not share with the main login item externally

Share a Login (Teams)

  1. Move the item into a Team Space
  2. Set permissions (Viewer or Can edit)
  3. Send invite; recipient decrypts with their device keys

Your master password and vault key are never shared—only the item key is re-wrapped.

Troubleshooting

  • Site rejects password: Use passphrase or adjust allowed symbols
  • No autofill prompt: Add exact URL; ensure extension is connected
  • Duplicate entries: Run Tools → Find Duplicates and merge
  • TOTP invalid: Check device time; rescan QR
  • Import fails: Ensure UTF-8 CSV with headers; split large files
